Cosmetic dentistry in Waterloo.
Veneers, bonding, and whitening — changes that still look like you, planned together and priced before anything starts.
Is this you?
A chip or worn edge bothers you
Bonding rebuilds small chips and rough edges with tooth-coloured material, usually in one visit — often without any freezing at all.
Stains that brushing won’t shift
Whitening lifts stains from coffee, tea, and time. It’s often the first step of a cosmetic plan — and sometimes the only one you need.
One tooth that never matched
A tooth that’s darker, smaller, or shaped differently can be covered with a veneer or rebuilt with bonding so it sits quietly beside the others.
You want a change, not a different face
That’s the brief we like. The aim is work that reads as your own smile on a good day — not teeth that announce themselves.
How it works here
-
A conversation, not a pitch
You tell us what you’d change and what you’d keep. We’ll tell you plainly what each option involves — including when doing nothing is a reasonable choice.
-
Scan and plan
We take a digital scan of your teeth — no impression moulds — and map out the options with timelines and prices. You leave with a written estimate, not a decision made for you.
-
The simpler work first
Whitening and bonding are reversible or nearly so, so they usually come first. Whitening can make teeth sensitive for a few days; bonding is usually one visit with little or no freezing.
-
Veneers, if they earn their place
A veneer means removing a thin layer of enamel — that part is permanent, so we only suggest it when simpler work won’t get you there. Expect two visits a few weeks apart, and some temporary sensitivity between them.
What it costs
It depends entirely on which treatments your plan involves — whitening and veneers sit at very different price points. You’ll get a written estimate after the planning visit, before any treatment begins.
What's included:
- Consultation and digital scan
- A written plan with options and prices
- The treatment itself
- Follow-up checks and adjustments
You'll always receive a written estimate before treatment begins. See all fees & coverage
What to expect at Auburn Centre Dental
Cosmetic work here starts with a digital scan, not a tray of impression material. The iTero scanner maps your teeth in a few minutes with a small camera wand.
Nobody will talk you into a bigger plan than you came in for. You’ll see the same team at each visit, and every cost is in writing before you commit to anything.
Questions people actually ask
Will people be able to tell I’ve had work done?
That’s the thing we design against. Veneers and bonding are matched to the shade and shape of the teeth beside them, and whitening is dialled to a believable level. If a planned change would look out of place on you, we’ll say so.
Do veneers damage your teeth?
A thin layer of enamel is removed to make room for the veneer, and enamel doesn’t grow back — so it’s a long-term commitment, not a reversible one. That’s why we try whitening or bonding first when they can do the job.
How long do veneers and bonding last?
Porcelain veneers commonly last a decade or more with normal care. Bonding usually needs a touch-up or replacement sooner. Either way, we’ll show you how to look after the work so it lasts as long as it can.
Does cosmetic treatment hurt?
It depends on the treatment:
- Whitening: no drilling or freezing, but temporary sensitivity for a few days is common.
- Bonding: usually little or no freezing; most people describe it as uneventful.
- Veneers: done under local anesthetic, with some soreness and sensitivity possible afterwards.
We’ll tell you what your specific plan is likely to feel like before you book it.
Can I just get whitening, without a bigger plan?
Yes. Whitening is a standalone treatment — see the Teeth Whitening page. A cosmetic consultation is only for when you want to weigh more than one option.
Will insurance cover cosmetic work?
Many plans don’t cover treatments that are purely cosmetic, though some cover part of work that also repairs damage. Bring your plan details and we’ll check before you commit — and every estimate we give is in writing.
